Concerning the continuation of the fire suppression programs of the division of fire prevention and control, and, in connection therewith, implementing the recommendations of the department of regulatory agencies in the department's 2025 sunset report.

Bill Summary:

      Sunset Process - House Transportation, Housing, and Local Government Committee. The bill implements the recommendations of the department of regulatory agencies in its 2025 sunset review and report.

      Sections 1 and 2 of the bill continue the fire suppression programs of the division of fire prevention and control for 11 years until 2037 ( recommendation 1 ).

      Sections 3 through 5 modify certain provisions of the fire suppression programs of the division of fire prevention and control to replace gender-specific terminology with gender-neutral terminology ( recommendation 2 ).
