Concerning an extension of the transitional jobs program, and, in connection therewith, making an appropriation.
Bill Summary:
Current law provides money to employers to hire eligible persons for transitional jobs through June 30, 2017, with no new jobs offered after December 31, 2016. The act extends these dates to June 30, 2019, and December 31, 2018.
The act appropriates $1,151,628 to the department of human services office of self sufficiency to pay for the extended program in fiscal year 2016-17.
