Coroner Qualifications

Concerning a requirement that a coroner be certified by the American board of medicolegal death investigators or the American board of pathology in forensic pathology.

Bill Summary

The act requires a coroner of a county with a population greater than 150,000 who is elected on or after November 5, 2024, to be either a death investigator certified by and in good standing with the American board of medicolegal death investigators or a forensic pathologist certified by and in good standing with the American board of pathology.
