Increase Massage Therapy Education Program Hours

Bill Summary

Current law requires an applicant for massage therapist licensure to attain a degree, obtain a diploma, or otherwise successfully complete a massage therapy program that consists of at least 500 total hours of coursework and clinical work from an approved massage school. The bill increases the coursework and clinical work minimum requirement to 650 total hours starting July 1, 2024.
