Concerning grants to provide equipment to rural fire protection districts.

Bill Summary:

Local firefighter safety and disease prevention fund - fire equipment and training grants. $250,000 from the general fund is transferred to the local firefighter safety and disease prevention fund to be used by the division of fire prevention and control within the department of public safety to provide grants for equipment and training to increase firefighter safety and prevent occupation-related diseases. The amount of an individual grant is limited to $25,000.
