Representative Ortiz and Representative Jodah, co-prime bill sponsors, presented Senate Bill 23-151, concerning the continuation of the Health Equity Commission, and, in connection therewith, implementing the recommendation contained in the 2022 sunset report by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (Attachment A).  The bill  continues the Health Equity Commission in the Department of Public Health and Environment, which is scheduled to repeal on September 1, 2023. State fiscal impacts under the bill include only the continuation of the program's current expenditures. The program is continued indefinitely.  The bill sponsors responded to questions from the committee.
