Senator Ginal and Senator Smallwood, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 23-041 concerning allowing physicians, physician assistants, or advanced practice registered nurses to prescribe and administer FDA-approved drugs for off-label use. Prescribers and pharmacists dispensing prescriptions for off-label use will not be subject to disciplinary action by the Colorado Medical Board, the State Board of Nursing, or the State Board of Pharmacy.
