Senators Pelton B. and Buckner, co-prime sponsors, presented House Bill 24-1099, concerning procedural requirements in evictions, and in connection therewith, prohibiting certain fees for a defendant, directing courts to serve certain documents on a defendant's behalf, and making an appropriation. 

Sarah Barnes, representing Colorado Children's Campaign, testified in support of the bill.

Andrew West, representing All Families Deserve a Chance Coalition, testified in support of the bill.

Aubrey Wilde, representing Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, testified in support of the bill.

Jack Regenbogen, representing Colorado Poverty Law Project, testified in support of the bill.

Committee members asked about the Judicial Department's position on the bill.
