Representatives Mabrey and Soper, prime sponsors, presented House Bill 24-1124, concerning discriminiation in places of public accommodation. Representative Mabrey explained the effect of the bill and discussed its need. Representative Mabrey also explained the effect of amendment L.001 (Attachment B). Representative Soper further discussed the bill and amendment. Representative Soper responded to questions regarding the effect of amendment L.001, and the impact of the bill on rental activities by nonprofit organizations. Representative Mabrey provided input on the latter issue.
