Representatives Espenoza and Soper, co-prime sponsors, presented House Bill 26-1315. The bill requires the Department of Corrections to audit a random sample of risk assessments and related documentation for inmates granted parole in 2024 and 2025. It also modifies the definition of criminal justice records to ensure risk assessment reporting is available for public inspection. The sponsors distributed and explained amendments L.001 and L.003 and responded to committee questions.
