Representative Bockenfeld, prime bill sponsor, presented House Bill 24-1026, concerning a requirement that voters reauthorize a local government to retain revenue in excess of the limitations imposed by section 20 of Article X of the State Constitution (TABOR). The bill requires that a local government that retains revenue in excess of its TABOR limit pursuant to a waiver election held prior to November 9, 2020, must resubmit the ballot issue from that waiver election to the registered voters of the local government for re-approval by the November 2029 local elections. |
