The primary bill sponsor, Representative Keltie, introduced House Bill 26-1085 to the House Health and Human Services Committee. The bill requires health care providers to offer their pregnant patients the option to fill out a “do not abort” form that expresses the patient’s wishes to not receive an abortion in the event of incapacitation. If the form is filled out, the health care provider must enter it into the patient’s medical record.
