JOINT COMMITTEE COMMITTEE ON COLORADO COMMISSION ON UNIFORM STATE LAWS
Date Dec 12, 2025
Location HCR 0107
Uniform Mortgage Modification Act - To be introduced as a commission bill
|
|
|
02:08:57 PM |
Jane Sternecky,
ULC, summarized the ULC review of the proposed CBA changes to the uniform
act. She said that some of the requests by the CBA were theoretically
okay, but two of the safe harbors they would like to remove would basically
gut the purpose of the act.
|
|
02:10:56 PM |
Seth Holly, CBA
real estate subcommittee chair, responded that he does not disagree with
Ms. Sternecky's comments and could see a broader advantage in the act to
the consumer and that he would like to see the act drafted into a bill
to see what discussions occur during the legislative process. |
|
02:14:27 PM |
Commissioner Espenoza
wondered if these discussions should occur before the commission moves
forward on this act. Consensus was that this was not necessary. |
