01:58 PM -- HB 16-1427
Senator Hill introduced House Bill 16-1427, concerning multi-serving liquid marijuana products. Under current law, a retail marijuana store may not sell more than one ounce of retail marijuana or its equivalent to Colorado residents and no more than a quarter ounce of retail marijuana or its equivalent to non-residents. This bill exempts multi-serving liquid retail marijuana products from the equivalency restrictions if the product complies with all statutory and rule packaging requirements for multi-serving edibles. The multi-serving liquid must:
- be packaged in a structure that uses a single mechanism to achieve both child-resistance and accurate pouring dosing of each liquid serving in increments of 10 milligrams or less with a maximum of 100 milligrams per package; and
- have the dosing component within the child-resistance cap or closure of the bottle and not as a separate component.
Senator Hill provided a handout to the committee (Attachment A).
02:01 PM -- Sarah Clark, Smart Colorado, spoke in opposition to the bill. She provided two handouts to the committee (Attachments B & C). She responded to questions from the committee.
02:13 PM -- Joe Hodas, Dixie Brands, spoke in support of the bill. He responded to questions from the committee.
02:36 PM
