The primary bill sponsors, Representatives English and Joseph, introduced House Bill 25B-1010 to the House Health and Human Services Committee. The bill requires the Department of Public Health and Environment and the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to issue guidance to health care providers and facilities that are ineligible for federal Medicaid funding under new federal budget laws. The guidance must explain how providers and facilities can prioritize the continuity of care for disproportionately impacted communities, including communities of color, rural communities, and low-income populations. Health care providers and facilities are encouraged to follow the guidance.
