01:30 PM -- SB 16-094
Senator Crowder, bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 16-094. He explained that the bill increases flexibility for multi-county public health districts with a combined population of 4,000 or fewer residents by allowing them, with the consent of all counties in the district, to: select the county whose treasurer will serve as the treasurer for the district; and apportion costs among the counties based on an agreement between the counties, rather than strictly by population.
01:32 PM -- Susan Thompson, Commissioner, Hinsdale County; Tara Hardy, Director of Public Health for Hinsdale County and Mineral County; and Ramona Weber, Commissioner, Mineral County, came to the table. Two handouts were provided to the committee (Attachments A and B).
01:33 PM -- Ms. Hardy spoke in support of the bill.
01:36 PM -- Commissioner Thompson spoke in support of the bill.
01:38 PM -- Commissioner Weber spoke in support of the bill.
01:40 PM
Committee members commented on the bill and asked questions.
