Representative Hamrick
and Representative Mauro, co-prime bill sponsors, presented Senate Bill
25-160, concerning requiring certain motor vehicle manufacturers that have
affiliates to sell through franchised motor vehicle dealers. The bill expands
the definition of motor vehicle manufacturer to include affiliates. It
also modifies manufacturer restrictions related to owning or operating
dealerships and service centers. The sponsors provided a handout and the
Volkswagen Group Annual Report to the committee (Attachments G and H).
