Representative Hooton, bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 19-025 to the committee.  The bill adds age appropriate information on safe haven laws to the list of topics that are included in the definition of comprehensive health education.  Safe haven laws are state laws related to the safe abandonment of a child at a fire station, hospital, or community clinic or emergency center within the first 72 hours of a child's life.  A handout was distributed (Attachment A).
