Senator Crowder, prime sponsor, introduced Senate Bill 20-115, concerning the registration of surplus military vehicles as farm vehicles.  The bill allows a farmer or rancher to register a surplus military vehicle if the vehicle meets the same requirements as a truck or truck tractor.  A truck or truck tractor may be registered as a farm vehicle if the vehicle is owned by a farmer or rancher and is only commercially used to transport to market or transport raw agricultural products produced or livestock raised by the farmer or rancher.  The vehicle may also be used to transport livestock or commodities purchased by the farmer or rancher for personal use if used in the farming or ranching operations.  Senator Crowder provided a handout (Attachment D).
