Senator Jaquez Lewis, prime bill sponsor, presented House Bill 22-1292, which renames the Dental Loan Repayment Program Fund as the Dental Loan Repayment and Oral Health Programs Fund and expands the use of the money in the fund to include oral health programs within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). By October 1, 2023 and on an annual basis through FY 2028-29, the CDPHE is required to report certain program information to the Joint Budget Committee.

Dr. Leah Schulz, representing the Colorado Dental Association, testified in support of the bill.
