Bill Summary
The act requires the statewide transportation advisory committee to advise both the transportation commission and the department of transportation, rather than only the department as was previously the case, on the needs of the transportation systems in the state and to review and comment on all regional transportation plans submitted for the transportation planning regions of the state. The act also more precisely specifies the matters on which advice is to be provided to include budgets, transportation improvement programs, transportation plans, and state transportation policies.
