How we are Implementing Accessibility
Website Testing and Remediation
- We conduct automated and manual testing of all webpages for accessibility and quality assurance.
- We have contracted with third-party manual testers to provide manual accessibility testing of our sites and applications.
- We continue to build, test, and remediate our digital products in an effort to provide continuous improvement of our sites and applications.
Document Remediation
Documents determined to be in active use, as defined in 8 CCR 1501-11 § 11.4 (2025), as well as those published on or after July 1, 2024, will be remediated to meet applicable accessibility standards. Some documents published prior to July 1, 2024, are classified as archived content pursuant to 8 CCR 1501-11 § 11.4 (2025) and may be provided in an accessible format following a reasonable accommodation request based on an individualized determination..
Training
We provide accessibility training to staff through required coursework, weekly meetings on accessibility topics, and regular targeted training. An intranet page dedicated to accessibility resources is also available to staff in addition to custom-built tools and templates.
Procurement
We are developing systems and processes to ensure all digital products we develop, manage, and procure meet accessibility standards by including accessibility assurances in contracts, requiring vendors to complete a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), also known as an Accessibility Compliance Report (ACR), and validating the accessibility information we receive through a robust vetting process.
