Under current law, the Statewide Transportation Advisory Committee (STAC) provides advice to CDOT on the needs of transportation systems and reviews and comments on all regional transportation plans. This bill, recommended by the Transportation Legislation Review Committee, requires the STAC to provide advice, and review and comments to both CDOT and the Transportation Commission, rather than only to CDOT. The bill also specifies that the STAC will provide advice on transportation budgets, policy, programming, and planning.
