Health Benefit Exchange Rules and Policies

Concerning the oversight authority of the health insurance exchange oversight committee with regard to policies that affect consumers proposed by the health benefit exchange.

Bill Summary:

The act requires the health insurance exchange oversight committee to operate technical and advisory groups on an ongoing basis to provide guidance at the direction of the board of directors of the exchange on issues that affect consumers. The groups are required to meet at least quarterly throughout the year for the first two years. The act requires public input regarding the issues discussed.
