Bill Summary:

The act changes from February 15 to March 15 the date by which the department of education (department) must submit the report concerning policy recommendations for reducing student dropout rates and increasing student graduation and completion rates. With regard to character education programs, the act repeals the annual report that the department prepares, the department's ability to collect information for the annual report, and the department's ability to receive gifts, grants, or donations for character education programs.
