Beginning January 1, 2025, the bill classifies a county coroner and deputy coroner elected, reelected, or appointed on or after January 1, 2021, by a local government division employer as state troopers for the purpose of determining the county coroner's or deputy coroner's public employees' retirement association service retirement eligibility and benefits.
