Concerning the continuation of the Colorado commission for the deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind, and, in connection therewith, implementing the recommendations contained in the 2023 sunset report by the department of regulatory agencies.

Bill Summary

Sunset Process - House Health and Human Services Committee. The bill implements the recommendations in the department of regulatory agencies' 2023 sunset review and report on the Colorado commission for the deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind (commission) by:

  • Continuing the commission for 7 years, until 2031;
  • Establishing a permanent state auxiliary services program; and
  • Changing the name of the deafblind citizens council to the deafblind advisory council.
