Under current law, DPS must report on the activities of the Colorado Fraud Investigators unit annually through 2017. The bill also extends a $4 surcharge on uniform commercial code filings to June 30, 2018. Representative Gray addressed questions from the committee about the estimated fiscal impact of the bill.

Mr. Ralph Gagliardi, representing DPS, testified in support of the bill and responded to earlier questions raised by the committee. He also responded to questions from the committee about the number of FTE employed in the fraud unit, various filing fees, and how the department works with private vendors to conduct some business. Representative Navarro also responded to committee questions.

01:52 PM --
