Marcia Waters, Division of Real Estate, Department of Regulatory Agencies, introduced the appointees to the Board of Real Estate Appraisers. Clinton Taylor and Darius Wise, appointees to the board, came to the table. The appointment letter may be found in Attachment A. Their applications and resumes are available at the State Archives. Mr. Taylor and Mr. Wise discussed their professional experience and interest in serving on the board.

Senator Weissman
introduced Senate Bill 25-157, concerning a deceptive trade practice standard.
 The bill establishes what types of activity constitute an unfair
trade practice. The sponsors distributed Amendment L.001 and three handouts
to the committee (Attachment B, C, D, and E). Senator Weissman responded
to questions from the committee.

Senator Gonzales made introductory remarks regarding SB25-157.

John Mill, representing Associated General Contractors of Colorado, testified in opposition to the bill. Scott Peterson, representing the Colorado Association of Realtors, testified in opposition to the bill. Mr. Ronald Dietz, representing themself, testified in opposition to the bill. Carly West, representing Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, testified in opposition to the bill.
