Representative Michaelson Jenet made introductory remarks about the sunset process.  A memorandum on the sunset process was distributed to the committee members (Attachment A).

Christy Chase, representing the Office of Legislative Legal services, explained the sunset review process.

Representative Michaelson Jenet stated that the hearings on the sunset reports for the Speech-langauge Pathology Practice Act and Elevator and Escalator Certification Act were being held in accordance with Section 24-34-104 (6), C.R.S.

Bryan Jameson, representing the Department of Regulatory Agencies, reviewed the sunset process. He discussed the sunset report on the Speech-language Pathology Practice Act (Attachment B). A copy of the related draft bill was distributed to the committee (Attachment C).

Becky Spence, representing the Colorado Speech Language Hearing Association, testified on the sunset report on Speech-language Pathology Practice Act.

Representative Michaelson Jenet designated Reprentative Young as the prime sponsor of the bill.  Representatives Michaelson Jenet and Jodeh asked to be co-sponsors on the bill.
