Representative Pelton,
prime sponsor, introduced HB21-1056 concerning public projects supervised
by the Department of Transportation (CDOT) that are subject to the Construction
Bidding for Public Projects Act. Currently, CDOT is subject to the
act if a project is expected to exceed $150,000. The bill raises
the amount to $500,000. In addition, the bill raises the project
cost amount for which CDOT must obtain Transportation Commission approval
from $50,000 to $100,000. Finally, the bill limits existing requirements
that CDOT pay local prevailing wages on specified federal acts to projects
that cost more than $500,000.

and Baisley, co-prime sponsors, provided information about HB21-1132 concerning
authorized distributions from the Local Government Limited Gaming Impact
Fund. The bill specifies that documented gaming impacts should be
negative. In addition, the bill gives priority for funding to eligible
local government entities that have lower property values. Nonprofit
community mental health centers may also apply for grants related to gambling
addiction. The bill sponsors provided a packet (Attachment A).
