and Will, co-prime sponsors, introduced House Bill 21-1076 concerning carpooling
service Internet applications and requiring that application owners or
operators register with the Department of Transportation. The bill
requires application owners or operators to notify consumers that carpooling
service companies are not regulated by the state. In addition, charges
to users must be reasonable and cover direct and indirect costs of providing
the servcie. The bill also limits the number of passengers that a
driver may carry.
