Senator Zenzinger,
Chair, invited Brita Darling from the Office of Legislative Legal Services
to review the sunset and bill drafting process.

Senator Zenzinger
invited Brian Tobias, representing the Department of Regulatory Agencies
(DORA), to provide background information on the sunset review process
for advisory committees. Mr. Tobias spoke about the sunset report
for the Council of Higher Education Representatives (council), which can
be found as Attachment A. Mr. Tobias provided background and historical
information about the council. He spoke about the council's charge,
membership, and enacting legislation, as well as legislation passed in
prior years that affects the council. He stated that the sunset report
recommends that the council be continued.

introduced the next sunset hearing for the Special Education Fiscal Advisory
Committee (SEFAC). She invited Jennifer Lockwood, representing DORA,
to present the sunset report (Attachment A). Ms. Lockwood provided
background information about SEFAC and stated that the sunset report recommends
that it be continued.
