Representative Snyder and Representative Roberts, co-prime bill sponsors, presented House Bill 19-1229. The bill creates the Colorado Electronic Preservation of Abandoned Estate Planning Documents Act. The act provides a procedure to determine if an original estate planning document is abandoned, and the process to create an electronic estate planning document.

Amendment L.004 was distributed to the committee (Attachment A).  Representative Snyder and Representative Roberts answered questions about amendment L.004 and the bill.

Frank Hill, Colorado Bar Association, testified in support of the bill.

Peter Bullard, Colorado Bar Association, testified in support of the bill.

Mr. Bullard and Mr. Hill answered questions from the committee. Representative Roberts responded to questions from the committee. Mr Bullard made additional comments to the committee.
