01:43 PM -- SB17-304

Senator Williams and Senator Martinez Humenik, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 17-304 to the committee. This bill, recommended by the Joint Technology Committee (JTC), adds to the authority of the JTC the ability to request information and presentations about data privacy and cybersecurity and to coordinate with the Colorado Cybersecurity Council. The bill amends a requirement for the committee to review and make recommendations to the General Assembly about certain legislation to include legislation related to data privacy and cybersecurity. Under current law, the JTC will repeal on July 1, 2018. The bill eliminates the repeal of the committee.

01:46 PM

The committee recessed.

01:50 PM

The committee reconvened.
