Senator Court and Senator Pettersen, co-prime sponsors, presented House Bill 19-1177 to the committee. The bill creates and establishes procedures to require an individual to surrender any firearms in his or her possession if the court issues an extreme risk protection order. The sponsors showed the committee video clips from the program, "Insight with John Ferrugia."
