the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH), talked about the organization
and discussed the increase in homelessness statewide, the increased impact
of homelessness on BIPOC communities, the reasons behind the rise in homelessness,
and potential solutions to homelessness and housing instability issues.
She provided a handout (Attachment A).

representing Gary Community Ventures, introduced their organization and
provided a handout (Attachment B). He discussed the origins of Proposition
123, the issues that the program is trying to address, and how the program's
funds are being used.

Housing Colorado, introduced the organization and provided a handout (Attachment
C). He discussed how the investment in Proposition 123 will help address
homelessness in Colorado. He provided his five principles to guide future
housing legislation.

He explained the home-building process and the issues with current real estate development practices. He explained the potential solutions that CMDF has identified.

Kristi Pollard, representing Metro District Education Coalition (MDEC), introduced MDEC and explained the need for additional housing statewide. She provided a handout (Attachment I). She explained how metropolitan districts are necessary for financing housing and commercial developments. She introduced Jennifer Tanaka and Kyle Thomas and explained that they would be available to answer questions.
