David Oppenheim, Governor's Office, introduced Rick Garcia, appointee to the Executive Director of the Department of Local Affairs.

Rick Garcia, appointee, introduced himself to the committee and told the committee how his previous experience qualifies him to serve as the Executive Director of the Department of Local Affairs.

Senator Crowder, co-prime bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 19-027. The bill authorizes a county to use any lawful method for the final disposition of an unclaimed body including cremation and makes conforming amendments.  Senator Crowder discussed amendment L.003 (Attachment C).
