Senator Marble, prime sponsor, presented Senate Bill 17-178, concerning prohibiting a court from requiring a medical-marijuana patient to abstain from the use of marijuana as a condition of parole. Senator Marble explained the reasons for the bill. The committee discussed the bill and other legislation concerning marijuana use.

Mr. Jason Warf, representing the Southern Colorado Cannabis Council, testified in support of the bill. He stated that he viewed the bill as a cleanup bill to recent marijuana legalization. He responded to committee questions.
