Senator Moreno, co-prime bill sponsors, presented on House Bill 22-1153,
which establishes a new adoption process, in instances when a child is
conceived as a result of assisted reproduction, for a person who did not
give birth but is a parent or presumed parent of the child. In these instances,
both parents must join the adoption as petitioners.

SB22-147 - Referred to Senate Appropriations

Senator Sonnenberg, co-prime bill sponsors, presented on Senate Bill 22-147,
which appropriates funds from the Behavioral and Mental Health Cash Fund
to three new and existing programs related to behavioral health care for
children. The bill creates the Colorado Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation
and Access Program in the University of Colorado, requires that $5.0 million
be appropriated to the existing Behavioral Health Care Professional Matching
Grant Program in the Department of Education, and that $1.5 million be
appropriated to the School-based Health Center Grant Program in the Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment.
