Senator Fields called the meeting to order.  She referenced the committee's procedues and policies.  She stated that although the bill sponsor was not present, the committee would proceed with the agenda and consider Senate Bill 20-043.



SB20-043 - Referred to the Committee of the Whole - Consent Calendar

Senate Bill 20-043, recommended by the Statutory Revision Committee, conforms a section of existing law with the rate established in statute that health insurance carriers are required to reimburse out-of-network health care providers for services provided at an in-network facility. The reimbursement rate is correctly stated in two sections of the law, but is incorrectly stated in another section.

SB20-045 - Postponed Indefinitely

Senator Tate, bill sponsor presented Senate Bill 20-045 and requested that the bill be postponed indefinitely.  This bill removes the requirement for health facility licenses issued by the Department of Public Health and Environment to include the signature of the president of the State Board of Health, the attestation of the board secretary, and the state board's seal.  Senator Tate told the committee that Senate Bill 20-113 replaces this bill.
