Senator Gardner, bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 18-149. Under current law, all records of the Denver Health and Hospital Authority are subject to the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA). This bill specifies that certain documents of the authority are public records, but that the content of an electronic medical record system, and individual medical records, personal medical information, and other documents related to individual patient care are not public records. Senator Gardner responded to questions from the committee.
