Senators Williams and Cooke, co-prime sponsors, presented House Bill 17-1357, which extends the period during which the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment may accept grant applications for the Skilled Worker Outreach, Recruitment, and Key Training Grant Program (WORK program) from January 1, 2017, to January 1, 2018. The bill also removes the cap on the amount of money appropriated to the WORK program that may be expended in a given fiscal year. Senators Cooke and Williams responded to committee questions.
