Senator Donovan, prime sponsor, presented House Bill 17-1191, which, beginning in the 2018 legislative session, requires Legislative Council Staff to prepare demographic notes for certain legislation which outlines the potential disparate effects of a bill on various populations within the state by race, gender, disability, age, geography, income, or other relevant characteristics for which data are available.
