11:09 AM -- Presentation by Students from Sabin Middle School
Senator Hill, chair, called the meeting to order. He invited Susan Forget, a teacher at Sabin Middle School (Sabin), to come to the table and introduce herself. Ms. Forget provided background information about the school. She introduced the students in the room who are part of the Youth Ventures Program at Sabin, which is sponsored by Pikes Peak United Way. She explained that the program's goal is to enable young people to become change makers in the community and realize their value and potential. She spoke about several of the projects on which the students are currently working.
Several students came to the table to tell the committee about the projects they are working on and answer questions from the committee.
The committee adjourned.
