Senator Hill, chair, call the meeting to order. Paul Johnson, President of the Colorado School of Mines, introduced the appointee and re-appointee to the board, Patty Starzer and Jim Spaanstra. Senator Hill invited the appointee and reappointees to the Private Occupational School Board to the table. lorna candler, Director, Division of Private Occupational Schools, introduced the appointees to the board: Paul Garibay, Arlene Malay, and Richard Semakula. Senator Hill invited Senator Kerr, sponsor, to present Senate Bill 072 which concerns an increase in the maximum total amount of annual lease payments authorized for lease-purchase agreements entered into under the Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) Act. Copies of amendments L.001, L.002, L.004, and L.005 were distributed to the committee (Attachments C, D, E and F).
