Representative Armagost
gave opening remarks regarding committee procedures. Mr. Ben FitzSimons
gave opening remarks regarding the committee's purpose and charge. The
committee previously met on July 10, 2024. At that meeting, the committee
directed Mr. FitzSimons to hire a third-party investigator to investigate
a complaint filed under the General Assembly's Workplace Harassment Policy.
Mr. FitzSimons explained the process for today's meeting, and actions he
would take depending upon the committee's findings. Mr. FitzSimons explained
the confidentiality requirements of the General Assembly's Workplace Harassment
Policy, and noted that the committee is permitted by statute to conduct
its work in executive session.

Mr. FitzSimons noted that the available options depends upon the person's
particular role in the branch.
