Office of Legislative Legal Services (OLLS), discussed the need to elect
a new chair and vice-chair of the Committee on Legal Services and thanked
the outgoing chair and vice-chair for their service.

the need to review and readopt the Rules of the Committee on Legal Services
and provided a brief overview.

on the changes to the rules of the committee in recent years.

Update on litigation - Committee Discussion Only

Director, OLLS, updated the committee members on the current litigation.



Schedule of meetings during the session - Meetings scheduled

Chair Weissman explained
the changes in the memo of proposed dates. The meetings were moved from
Friday mornings to Thursday mornings in order to avoid conflicts with Appropirations
Committee meetings.

the need create a schedule for meetings during the session.

Tuesday, February 6 at 7:30 for the next meeting during session.

Mr. Barry asked the
committee to consider availability for a meeting on Friday, February 9
in case members need more time to complete the agenda items from the February
6th meeting.

Senator Gonzales
noted the potential conflict for several members on Friday, February 9,
if Appropriations Committees meet that day.

Chair Weissman confirmed
with the committee members that the remaining meeting dates during the
session should be set for Thursday, February 22 at 7:30; Thursday, March
7 at 7:30; Thursday, March 21 at 8:00; and Thursday, April 11 at 8:00.

out the remaining section of the memo regarding the typical meeting schedule
of the committee during the interim.
