Chair Lukens re-opened testimony due to Zoom issues. Mr. Rick Keuroglian, representing Town of Georgetown, testified.

Senator Roberts presented

He explained that
Department of Public Safety would coordinate wireless emergency services,
and Colorado Broadband Office would be the point of contact for all other
wireless services.



Committee members
commented about more clearly defining unserved and underserved areas in
this bill draft request and others.  Further questions were asked
about coverage maps. Committee discussion followed about  available
public maps andaccess and accuracy.

He discussed the
need to provide incentives to low population and high costs areas, as well
as to unserved areas generally. He made comparison to how broadband grants
are deployed.

She explained
that the bill intends to expedite the permitting process, and committed
to additional stakeholding on it.
