Bill Draft Request 1, Single Point of Contact Wireless Services:

He explained that
Department of Public Safety would coordinate wireless emergency services,
and Colorado Broadband Office would be the point of contact for all other
wireless services.




Committee members
commented about more clearly defining unserved and underserved areas in
this bill draft request and others.  Further questions were asked
about coverage maps. Committee discussion followed about  available
public maps andaccess and accuracy.

He discussed the
need to provide incentives to low population and high costs areas, as well
as to unserved areas generally. He made comparison to how broadband grants
are deployed.

ensued about Bill Draft Request 2. Committee members brought up definitions
and the need for clarity and consistency.  Questions were also raised
about adding incentives to the bill at a future point and if the title
allows for such additions.
