status of elected county coroners in class II, III, and IV counties. Effective
January 1, 2023, the bill increases the salaries of newly elected or reelected
category II county coroners to match the salary of category II county treasurers
and full time category III and IV county coronors to match to salary of
the county treasurer. In addition, the bill allows part-time work
for category II coronors and full time for category III and IV counties.

and Bradfield, co-prime sponsors, introduced House Bill 22-1137 concerning
practices of unit owners' associations and authorizing the enforcement
of certain matters regarding associations in small claims court and limiting
the conduct of associations in collecting unpaid assessments, fees, and
fines. A packet of materials was provided to the committee (Attachment
G). The bill requires an association to notify homeowners in additional
manners regarding a delinquency and limits fines that associations may
charge, as well as the interest rate that associations may charge on unpaid
assessments, fines, and fees. Limits are also included in the bill
in terms of which assessments, fines, and fees may be collected and the
manner in which collections are made.
